Heating up in the Kimberley – On this day, Broome had a max of 30°c and a great breeze off the water. Head inland or towards Derby and it’s a different story. At 4.30pm I measured the temp at 42°c - a dry heat.
Pictured here, one of my favourite areas , Tombstone Flat – a plain full of termite mounds and the odd Boab tree. You could almost hear the trees breathe a sigh of relief on sunset this eve as the temperature dropped. A beautiful time of day to be out bush.
